Ukulele is easy to get started on, but also a versatile instrument that you can continue to learn on while growing as a musician and a person.
You decide what kinds of music you want to play, as the ukulele is as versatile as that larger fretted instrument that people also strum and sing to.
Lessons are for any age from 7 up, and cover technique (fretting, strumming, picking), basic singing instruction, and relevant music theory (including chord progressions).
Cost is based on your location, length of lesson, and number of students. (The more students, the lower the per-person cost.)
For your cost, contact Dave with your location, whether you'll come to him or he'll come to you, and expected number of students (usually 1, 2, 3 or 4).
Dave Maloof has taught ukulele to people ages 5 to 80, and has performed his own and others' music - singing while playing ukulele or piano - around New England and New York.
Stumbling across (and then buying) a $25 ukulele in a music store was truly one of the most fortunate moments of Dave's life, and he loves to help others enjoy and learn the instrument as he has.
